Local backups
Choose where your backups live
Create local backups of your iPhone or iPad and keep the library on storage you choose. Open a backup in iNoon to access the records it contains without restoring the whole backup to a device.

Use your computer, an external drive, or a mounted network folder or volume. Choose the destination for the device you are backing up.
A library you can return to
Select a backup to view its available data, find a record and extract what you need. The contents reflect what was included when that backup was made.

Connect the external drive or mount the network location before starting a backup. iNoon writes to that selected location.

Work with your photo collection on a larger screen. Open albums, preview individual images and check their details before choosing what to transfer.

Add still images from your computer to a From My Mac album on your iPhone or iPad.
Device to computer
Select photos on your device and copy them to a folder on your computer. Use the preview and image details to check your selection.

Transfers use the files available on your device. If an original is stored only in iCloud, iNoon does not download it; a locally available preview may be all that can be copied.

Work with accessible device folders and app documents from your computer. Keep the locations you use most within reach, organise their contents and transfer files without sending them through a cloud service.

Open an app’s Documents folder or navigate accessible device folders in the column view. Select a folder to see its contents and go straight to the files you need.

Copy files and folders between your computer and your iPhone or iPad, with transfer progress so you can follow the operation.
Your own shortcuts
Pin apps and supported folders to the sidebar. Return to a favourite location with a click instead of navigating through the same folders each time.
WiFi or USB
Connect with a USB cable or work wirelessly when your paired device is available on your network. Choose the connection that suits where you are working.

Create folders, rename items and remove files where the device or app permits it. Keep related documents together and copy the files you want to keep to your computer.

Read conversations with their context
Use dedicated iMessage and WhatsApp views to access the conversations available from your device or selected backup. Find a conversation, read the exchange on your computer and choose the records to keep.

Search the message view and select a conversation to read its history without working through raw backup files.
See more than the text
View the available message content, dates and attachments together, so you can understand the conversation before selecting an export.

Scheduled backups
Set a backup routine that fits your day
Give each device a recurring backup schedule. iNoon can run the backup when the device is available over USB or WiFi and your chosen conditions are met.
Choose the interval
Set a daily, weekly or monthly schedule and choose how often it repeats.
Control when it runs
Optionally restrict backups to a preferred timeframe and set a minimum battery level for the device.
Start with your computer
Enable launch at login to make iNoon available for scheduled backups. Keep the device reachable and the backup destination connected.
Scheduled backups run while iNoon is open. Quitting iNoon pauses the schedule until you open it again.

Work with your music library and playlists from your desktop. View tracks by artist, album or genre, then choose the music to add to your device or copy back to your computer.

Use the message export options to include conversation and date headers, text, media, attachments and links as needed.

Review the preview and selection before exporting. Other data types offer their own export or copy options; available formats depend on the records selected.
Contacts and interactions
Bring a contact’s history together
Open a contact to see their details and related activity in one place. iNoon brings matching messages, calls, calendar events and other available interactions into a chronological view.
Read the contact details
Access the names and contact information contained in the device or backup, then select the records you want to export.
Follow the timeline
See related records in date order to follow an exchange across messages, calls and events.
Work from the available history
The timeline combines records available in the source you have opened. It helps you review that history without repeatedly switching data views.
More of your device data
Access the records behind your day
Go straight to a data type to view its records and extract what you need. Available content depends on your device, the selected backup and what those sources contain.
Call History
View the calls recorded in your device or backup. Search the list and inspect a selected call’s details to find the entry you need, then export selected records.
Voicemail
Access voicemail records and their available audio. Find a message you want to keep and save a copy to your computer so you can return to it outside the device view.
Notes
Read the notes available in the selected source on your desktop. Find the information you need and export selected notes to keep a separate copy.
Voice Memos
Access your available voice recordings in a dedicated view. Select the memos you need and copy the audio to your computer for listening or keeping with your other files.
Calendar
View available calendar records and inspect event details on your computer. Export the events you want to keep as CSV for a spreadsheet or iCalendar files for use with calendar software.
Safari
Review the Safari bookmarks available in your device or backup. Inspect saved links and their folders, then export selected bookmarks as CSV to keep a useful list on your computer.
Podcasts
View the podcast data available on your device and work with the files present in that source. Content that is only available online is not automatically downloaded by iNoon.
Apps
View app information available from your device and access app data exposed by the selected source. What you can access depends on the app, the device and the contents of the backup.

Get a clearer picture of your device
Start with the Info tab for an overview of your connected iPhone or iPad and its backup settings. Open the battery view for a more detailed look at its current condition.
Device and backup overview
Identify the selected device and review its information and backup controls together on your desktop.
Battery condition
See available charge, health, cycle count and capacity information in organised summaries.
Current operating details
Inspect reported temperature and power status alongside the other battery details. The information shown depends on what the device reports.
Local processing
Your device library stays with you
iNoon processes your device data on your computer and does not upload your backup library, conversations or media to an iNoon cloud.
Backups and exports go to the storage you select. Keep external drives and network locations protected according to your needs.
Separate from cloud storage
Working locally gives you a backup library you can manage directly. iNoon does not change your existing iCloud settings or remove copies already stored there.
